New Hydrophilic Nonionic Polyurethane Polymer |
VOC Free Waterborne Polyurethane
Our new Bondthane UD-410 is an extremely soft, VOC Free aliphatic/polyether nonionic waterborne polyurethane. UD-410 produces a soft hydrophilic polyurethane film suitable for applications where good moisture vapor transmission properties or a hydrophilic polyurethane coating is desired. Unlike most waterborne polyurethanes, this nonionic polyurethane polymer is stable over a wide pH range and is potentially compatible with both anionic and cationic additives and resins.

Nonionic Polyurethane Applications
The unique properties of this nonionic polyurethane make it suitable for many specialty applications and coating that can benefit from the pH stability, ionic stability, or the unique hydrophilic nature of the final film. Textile coatings in particular can benefit from the good moisture vapor transmission (MVT) properties of the hydrophilic polyurethane film. UD-410 can be used as the sole film former or in conjunction with other resins to improve Moisture Vapor Transmission (MVT) properties. In addition, the ZERO VOC level of this hydrophilic polyurethane polymer makes it possible to make an exceptionally "green" finished product.
